Merewether Beach

Newcastle is known for its beautiful beaches. This shows Merewether Beach looking towards Bar Beach. Merewether Beach has ocean baths and an awesome restaurant upstairs in the old surf house and cafe style eating downstairs. The surf house is an awesome place to meet up with friends for a few drinks overlooking the beautiful ocean and afterwards a lovely meal in the surf house restaurant.

Stockton

A walk along the breakwater is a must when you visit Stockton.NSW. No only does it have good views towards Newcastle , it also has views of Stockton Beach. This beach is good for children because it isn't too rough. The breakwater is made up of huge block of concrete plus big holders of rock. Embedded in the wall you will also see old shipwrecks that ran aground in the Stockton area.

Looking towards Nobby's Beach in Newcastle. It also shows the moth of the Hunter River.

Newcastle Regional Library

A million stars to end violence- This is done to raise awareness about violence in todays society. These stars represent " Light, Courage and Hope."

It took my breath away when I walked in and saw this and I felt sick that we should have to do this today. The foyer of the library is an awesome place and these statues and so domineering but welcoming at the same time.

Barrington Tops

We went up here last weekend and saw the snow with the Maitland 4x4Club. It was so cold. We stopped at Gundy fir a coffee and toilet stop. What a cute little town.

Old church

This old church had been renovated and hired out by the council these days. Such a pity not a lot of people go to church these days. This one is found at Paxton.

Elllalong Church

This old church is no longer in use. The old wooden churches of this era are unique and so interesting.

Churches

This church is no longer in use as a church. It is the typical shape and size of many old ones in the Hunter. This one is at Paxton.
