Millfield Sky-2

The fires lasted for quite a while and our sky was red and smokey for weeks. Was scary.

Millfield Sky

Even though the bush fires were not near Millfield we still had the red glow in the sky. The nearest fires were at Musselbrook,  Heatherbrae and The Blue Mountains. It was an eerie feeling each day for several weeks looking at the glow in the sky and the dark clouds.

Bellbird

This is the overhead bridge that takes the coal trains to the coal mines. I have to drive under this bridge whenever I go to Cessnock.

Hunter Valley Zoo

Cooper the keen photographer. The DEER little thing.

Sharing is caring.

Love Birds

Strut your stuff

The cutest little bottom.
Cooper and I went to the zoo and had a good time. We saw the dingoes being fed and lots of birds and reptiles and mammals. It is well worth the visit as there are a large number of animals in a small area that is easily to get about. There is  also a picnic area.

Mangrove Mountain

Gymea Lilies in full bloom
Native to Australia

Mangrove Mountain is known for their fruit trees especially oranges.

If I was going to be a flower I would choose to be a Gymea Lily because they stand upright with their head held high and with beautiful red flowers. They show dignity and elegance.

Pokolbin to Millfield

This was a lovely drive from Polkolbin to Millfield over Mount View Road. Parts were dirt road but the views were breathtaking. In the words of my grandson "glorious". These photos show the view towards Cessnock and surrounds.
